We are made to be haunted. It is not always ghosts or monsters that lurk under beds, though we would never deny that it could be. We have known hauntings of love, pain, and fear. Hauntings inspired by dreams and nightmares alike that cling to us in waking hours. We are haunted by our mistakes; transgressions. By hellos and goodbyes and memories that we cannot seem to shake. Hauntings found in smiles and tears. We are haunted by the living as much as we are the dead. We find hauntings in our own existence. We are made to be haunted because we are human. Our living and dying experiences etched onto the world in the hopes of traces left behind.
“Haunting”, our first issue at Forget-Me-Not Press, consists of thirty-two selected artists and writers. We hope it finds you well, but most importantly we hope it haunts you.
