“My work relates to the imagery synonymous with “wretched" as It speaks to the moments whereby individuals are confront the stark realities of pain, anxieties despair. My work draws inspiration from the narratives of those who are often marginalized, overlooked, or forgotten. By portraying these individuals in moments of vulnerability, I aim to highlight their inherent dignity and the universality of their experiences.”

“My current body of work seeks to embody a felt experience through a female gaze. Centred around the visual representation of memory, social interaction and environment, I wish to build a visual representation of lived female experiences and anxieties. I am intrigued by the nation of a turning point within a moment, seeking to create a pictorial language which oscillates between euphoria and tragedy. My creative process integrates social and bodily systems, manipulating paint to perpetuate links between humanity and the environment they inhabit.

In a sense, the mark making used is representative of the repercussions of a moment. My process of painting is to repeatedly abstract and reconfigure, smearing or wiping away to create a film of reminisce, these marks act as ghost of a moment.”

Born in London and graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting in 2023 from the University of Brighton, I continue to practice out of my studio at Brighton Art Space. My work is deeply influenced by my fascination with human interaction and predisposition, British culture, and the mundane.

In my paintings, I strive to capture the essence of ordinary and simultaneously poignant. My work invites viewers to find significance and emotion in the familiar. I aim to create a dialogue surrounding visceral experiences that speak of both connection and detachment, highlighting the quiet yet profound narratives that shapes the female experience.
