Snowy Owl

By Sydney Devoe

An owl can sit perched on a tree branch anticipating a change in the night, with the moon at it’s back,

as it’s protector

The soft blue light shines so brightly on the silver armor of their feathers

The falling snow are night stars in the owls eyes

Their wisdom can guide them miles while in flight…

I know what I am doing right,

and when they find a home where their feathers can peacefully rest…

I will let my strength fill my mind with delight for the night,

So I can soar with the first light
