“The re -contextualised ‘divine’ Madonna has been transcribed into a setting of domestic abuse becoming wretched.

My creative intention was to use religious iconography to portray womanhood in todays up side down world . Violence is about to happen. Resignation to suffering reduces her to a wretch.”

“Returning to university in my late fifties I craved a creative outlet within art. Previously a writer this was a new direction which culminated in a first in Fine Art.

I’m on a personal mission to build upon my post grad success with my art and writing being shown and printed internationally.

In a few months I will celebrate my 70th birthday by launching my first illustrated novel .”

I'm a Boomer born in 1954.

I went to a church school and then onto an all girls high school where I gained qualifications to train in London as a teacher.

After a lifetime of work and motherhood I now live in a tiny cottage with my husband.

Each new day is a challenge to create art and to write !
