“This triptych is my painted response to the masks we wear in every day life, as we strive to be 'insta-perfect', people pleasing non-victims of social interactions which turns us into wretched victims anyway. It is obvious these are not true rabbits, what are they? I ask the viewer to interpret the meaning, sinister, or otherwise. Only we ourselves know what is going on in our own wretched heads, we cannot guess other people's stories.”

“My interest in people is reflected in my practice. My process involves immersing myself in stories from biographies and archives and painting my emotional response which is naturally self-referential and ever changing. Lately this has involved a reflection on people who have suffered with mental illness.
Through drawing and painting in fragile layers, the dream like presence of these people appear. Figures are often presented without context, inviting a unique dialogue through questions about the narrative. Recently my practice has taken a feminist turn, investigating reductive attitudes in historical and contemporary experience.”
