Imagine it’s that time in the morning before the dandelions wake up. It is Spring and the sun is coming up with the all the energy of promise and blessings that a new day brings. All around is peace, the light streams through the long grass, gently warming and caressing the dandelions who are about to awaken. They know what to do; just breathe and open.
The soothing and yet refreshing greens in this piece bring harmony, balance and healing. Green represents our interconnection with nature, with abundance and it is the colour of the heart chakra. The yellows are cheerful, invigorating and refreshing and the touch of blue adds a peaceful feeling.
This piece captures a magical moment in the morning and will support you to start your day feeling joyful, refreshed and ready for anything. This painting reminds us to appreciate the golden moments as everything in life is temporary.
After studying Art at Bilborough College, I went on to study languages at University and worked in translation ans education. I left work due to mental health difficulties and later became the founder of a creative mental health charity in Cambridge. However, I kept burning out, and it finally dawned on me, at 40, that my difficulties might be due to being neurodivergent. This discovery has been life-changing as I am now making changes in my life that support my nervous system and help me to heal. I am grateful to be doing something I love by creating art and I hope my journey inspires others. I'd also like to thank my grandparents for always encouraging me to paint.
I'm an intuitive acrylic artist living in Cambridge with my animal family. I'm inspired everyday by nature and I love vibrant colours; I appreciate just how much being around different colours can affect my mood and energy. Some are soothing and peaceful, while others are joyful, energising or uplifting. It is my intention to harness these powerful, positive energies of colour in my work so that they can support you and your energy when you take a piece home. Sometimes I plan my work and at other times, I get out of the way; letting whatever energy wants to flow through me, out onto the canvas. I create from my soul and I hope it speaks to yours.
