“Discovering Tarot was definitely a turning point in my practice. I grew up in a household where Tarot cards, Oracle cards and regular visits to clairvoyants were the norm, but it wasn’t until 2018 when I was gifted a Tarot deck of my own that my interest really took off. Tarot for me is a tool for deep introspection and of course the prospect of divine guidance has been very comforting at times. I was living with pretty severe climate anxiety at the time and Tarot had a way of making me feel empowered and in control and encouraged me to see the magic and beauty in the natural world, during periods of hopelessness.
From September 2019 I chose to focus on my practice full time and create my own hand drawn 78 card Tarot deck inspired by the 1909 Rider-Waite Smith Tarot deck, which is now known as the Monochromatica Tarot. I funded the creation and printing of this deck through a successful Kickstarter campaign in July 2020, thanks to the generosity of 193 international project backers.”

“Recurring themes and interests within my practice span from; female identity and sexuality, transformation of the self after childbirth, postpartum identity, motherhood and postpartum depression. My most recent body of work depicts the loss of identity that many mothers experience during the first few years of early motherhood, through to reflecting on that early postpartum experience and seeks to depict the new identity that emerges throughout motherhood.”
