When Rabbit Meets Whale
Rabbit meets Whale
It is an abstract painting.
In the hole in the ice , made by a fisherman, where you can see footprints of birds and animals in the surrounding snowy surface, you can imagine the stripes of the whales mouth.
While the rabbit watches it from the side , not knowing the origin of this moving being.
These two animals live in different worlds, and normally speaking, would never meet.
A glimpse of orange on top, suggests that in winter the sun always shines, day and night.
It never gets dark.
I made this painting, after I was divorced , and lonely for several years.
By the internet ( the hole in the ice), I met on a dating site a man , living far away: a type of man who I , normally, in real life, when I would meet him, I never would be interested in.
But our chats were warm and comforting, and I wondered who he was.
My best friend visited his page also ( footprints on the snow).
So we decided to meet. It was a sunny winter’s day.
He has a strong character, and has a handicap, which he never mentioned in our chats.
The handicap does not allow him to walk free. He always has to be cautious not to fall, and has many predictable habits therefore. (Whale )
While I am more like a jumping rabbit, always curious. Running from here to there.
We are both so different, like out of another world ,and still we made contact, and met each other.
We are married for 13 years now.
It never gets dark.
