My art serves both as a means of reflection and communication. The impulse for a piece comes from an urgent need to communicate a feeling such as trust, gratitude or safety. The painting process serves as a means of personal reflection. During this stage I allow myself to explore and reflect upon the subject in an intimate way. I would describe this as a type of healing process.
